At the end of May, Tina Pliagas joined Drum Corps International and the SoundSport administrative staff in the position of Business Development Programs Coordinator.

A graduate of the University of Tennessee – Knoxville, Pliagas previously served as an intern within DCI’s business development department.

Over the next three months she will begin to take over the day-to-day administration of the SoundSport program and communications with all SoundSport participants. We’re excited to welcome Tina to the team and she looks forward to speaking with you soon!

After five years as the events and promotions manager of the SoundSport and DrumLine Battle programs, Eric Hjellming will be transitioning into a new role as event operations manager with Drum Corps International.

Starting in the Fall of 2018, Hjellming will direct his focus toward the operational side of the annual DCI Tour, while still keeping an active role planning annual SoundSport competitions and ensuring a world-class experience for all participating SoundSport teams at live events.

During the transition, both Hjellming and Pliagas will be available to assist any SoundSport and DrumLine Battle teams, so please feel free to contact either with any questions or needs!
