Drum Corps International’s rapidly-growing SoundSport® program will expand its schedule of competitive and non-competitive performance showcases in 2019, with a fresh slate of events taking place across the United States in conjunction with the DCI Summer Tour.
The summer series will kick off on Saturday, July 6 in Orlando, Florida.
Two longstanding events in San Antonio, Texas (July 20) and Atlanta (July 27) return to the schedule. As the second-longest running SoundSport event in program history, SoundSport will celebrate its second year inside the state-of-the-art Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Building on 2018’s success of SoundSport in Allentown, Pennsylvania, this summer’s schedule will see a return to J. Birney Crum Stadium during the second day of the DCI Eastern Classic on August 3.
Celebrating the seventh anniversary of SoundSport events held in conjunction with the DCI World Championships in Indianapolis, the fourth-annual SoundSport International Music and Food Festival heads to downtown Indianapolis on Saturday, August 10, and is expected to attract more participating ensembles, spectators, and food vendors than ever before.
