This weekend the SoundSport program will debut at the Belfast Tattoo. Now on it’s third year, the 2015 Belfast Tattoo will showcase some of the finest musicians and dancers from across Ulster and beyond in a two hour show which will allow the artists and bands to feature their talents on a scale, or in an arena, never available to them before.

The Belfast Tattoo has its roots unashamedly in the traditions of the UlsterScots people, but has reached out through the past three years years to showcase many talents through music and dance throughout the world. The net has been spread far and wide to bring together many bands and artistes to perform in each year’s continually changing and evolving events, in the various sections of the show the bandsmen and bandswomen bring new and exciting, innovative ideas to their performances each year.

This weekend the Ravens Marching Showband and Artane School of Music are representing SoundSport as one of the 13 performing ensembles at this year’s Tattoo. These ensembles have both acted as musical ambassadors for the SoundSport and DrumLine Battle programs, most recently performing together in a DrumLine Battle in Dublin, Ireland’s historic Croke Park.
